Abstract
The invention concerns a rotary nozzle combination (P) for coating product comprising an atomizing bowl () and a rotor () adapted to rotate the bowl about a geometrical axis (X-X'), and means () for controlling the presence and/or proper mounting of the bowl () on the rotor (). The rotor () is spaced apart from a non-rotating part (P) and the control means comprise first means () enabling a force (F) to be applied on the bowl () tending to vary the thickness of an air-film of the pneumatic thrust bearing (P), as well as second means () for determining the air pressure in the bearing (P). The pressure of air in the thrust bearing (P) can be determined when the latter is normally supplied and compared with at least one reference value.
