Abstract
The present invention provides a linear motorthat can prevent a magnet memberfrom falling down when a power supply is turned off. A linear motorincludes a magnet membercomposed of permanent magnets having alternately arranged respective N poles and S poles and a coil memberwhich surrounds a periphery of the magnet memberand trough which the magnet memberis movable in an axial direction relative to the coil member. A magnetic substanceis provided in the vicinity of one end of the coil memberto allow the magnet memberto exert a magnetic attractive force.
