Abstract

A poly(diallylamine)polymer pharmaceutical composition or pharmaceutical derivate used to sequester bile acid and/or to reduce serum cholesterol levels. The polymer is derived from a monomer of formula Ia, where Ris a bridging group of valency r, and r is an integer of 3 or greater to provide a cross linked polymer, and all diallyl nitrogen atoms are linked to at least two further diallyl nitrogen atoms.
