Abstract

An antenna includes a feedpoint support plate () which is provided with terminal connectors () to attach feed wires () to dipole lines (). A balun () of one size may be connected to the plate () by fastening assemblies () received at apertures () in the plate () and at apertures () of the balun (). Baluns of other sizes may also be connected to the plate () by fastening assemblies () received at apertures () in the plate () and at holes () provided with the coil (). The plate () can also carry a strain relief bracket () which includes grip members () which engage the feed line () at two spaced locations with a loop () formed therebetween to isolate a coupling () from any strain.
