Abstract

A method for data transmission between participants communicating by means of a data bus, in which as high a transmission likelihood for additional data as possible is to be assured by providing that in the exchange of data telegrams between the participants within the cycle timepredetermined for one transmission cycle, at least one first and at least one second time slotare used, and the first time slotserves to forward process data and the second time slotserves to forward additional data, and the length of the data telegrams representing the additional data is predeterminable within the length of the corresponding time slot
