Abstract

Intraocular lens implant () for providing accommodation for near vision includes an optic () centrally disposed in a flexible membrane () and at least one haptic () outwardly extending from the flexible membrane. The flexible membrane is adapted in use to facilitate translatable movement of the optic in response to attempted accommodation by the ocular substrate.
