An electrical connector () defining an inserting port () for connecting a corresponding plug, includes a first contact module and a second contact module fixed with each other. The first contact module includes a first housing () and a number of first contacts () insert molded in the first housing (). The first housing () has a tongue () extending into the inserting port (). Each first contact () has a first contact portion () extending to a free end of the tongue ().
