Abstract
A cross-key rotational alignment locking device for a VSI-type mineral breaker comprises a generally annular keywayin the top edge portion of the main shaftof the breaker, the annular keyway defining an upwardly extending pilot key, a plurality of circumferentially spaced slotsin the upper portion of a cylindrical taper lockdisposed around the main shaft, the slots in communication with the annular keyway, and a cross-keyhaving a generally annular main bodydisposed in the annular keyway, the pilot keyreceived in a central aperturein the main bodyof the cross-key, and the cross-key having a plurality of radially-extending armsdisposed in the plurality of slots, such that the taper lockis locked in rotational alignment with the shaft.
