Abstract
A structural truss () with crimp/clamp () and method of making same wherein the truss () includes disposed U-shaped channel chords () and struts () interconnected to one another at alternately extending apices () wherein successive segments of the struts () have U-shapes and inverted U-shapes at their mid-sections and flat apices () at their respective ends. The ends () of successive segments of the unit lengths of the struts () and the chords () have holes for the insertion of a tapered pin (), thus precisely controlling the length of successive trusses. The truss member () also has vertical load-bearing strut sections () at the end of each manufactured length of truss () to support a cantilevered section of chord (). The crimp/clamp () is crimped and clamped onto the chords () so as to clamp the struts () to the chords ().
