Abstract

Cantilever gates () in the form of parallelograms include first and second bars () and a toe board () extending between and pivotally mounted to first and second posts () and moveable between closed and open positions. Gas struts () assist in moving the gate (). A lock () in the form of a pivotal latch () holds the gate () in its open position. A slide receptor () slideably receives the second post () as the gate () moves from the open to the closed position and can be removably secured to the support surface mounting plate (). A pair of cantilever gates () can have their respective second posts () slideably related.
