Abstract

A compound of formula (I); its structure represented with dotted lines being either cis- or trans-double bonds wherein: A) Rrepresents a hydrogen atom and Rrepresents an OH, OCHor OCHgroup while either a) R, R, and Reach represent hydrogen atoms with R, R, and Reach representing methyl radicals; b) R, R, and Reach represent hydrogen atoms with R, R, and Reach representing methyl radicals; or c) R, Rand Reach represent hydrogen atoms with R, R, and R, each representing methyl radicals; or B) Rrepresents a hydrogen atom; R, R, and Reach represent hydrogen atoms with R, R, and Reach representing a methyl radical while Rrepresents OH, OCHor OCHgroups when dotted lines are present; when dotted lines are absent, Rrepresents either OCHor OCHgroups. At least one compound is applied as an odorant agent.
