Abstract

The invention discloses a recording medium containing a compound shown by the following Formula (1)(Y)—Z—(X)—Z—(Y)  Formula (1) wherein, in Formula (1): each of Zand Zindicates a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring which may have a hetero atom; X indicates —O—, —S—, —S—S—, or —C(R)—; R indicates an alkyl group or a hydrogen atom; each of Yand Yindicates a sulfo group, a carboxyl group, a phosphono group, a carbonamide group, a sulfonamide group, or a quaternary ammonium salt; l indicates 0 or 1; and each of m and n indicates 0 or an integer of 1 or more, and at least one of m and n is an integer of 1 or more.
