Abstract
A portable wireless device is provided that eliminates the need for an antenna protruding from an housing by including a first housing and a second housing operating as a dipole antenna thus ensuring portability and delivering a high antenna performance despite its compact, low-profile and lightweight design. The portable wireless device according to the invention includes a first housing; a second housing; and a sliding unitfor slidably coupling the first housingand the second housingto each other; wherein the first housingis arranged a predetermined spacing apart from the second housingand includes a power feeding unitfor feeding power: between the first housingand the second housingand wherein the first housingand the second housingoperate as a dipole antenna. The portable wireless device does not include an antenna protruding from an housing. This ensures portability and delivers a high antenna performance despite its compact, low-profile and lightweight design.
