Abstract

The present invention provides a container-transporting device which fundamentally avoids the problems caused by elongations and the structure of endless chains, which is inevitably created by using endless chains in the container-transporting conveyors for conventional filling-and-packaging machines. It is a container-transporting device for holding and transporting a square-cylindrical containerby a container holderformed between container-transporting meansanddisposed to face parallel with each other, wherein the container conveying meansandare equipped with: a number of blockshaving a holding partconstituting a part of a container holder; outward block-support membersand homeward block-support members, arranged by extending in the conveying direction, for supporting a number of blocksin a movable condition along the conveying direction; a first transfer meanscapable of sequentially transferring the blocksthat have been conveyed while being supported by the outward block-support membersto the homeward block-support members; a second transfer meanscapable of sequentially transferring the blocksthat have been conveyed while being supported by the homeward block-support membersto the outward block-support members; and a block delivering meanscapable of delivering and conveying the blocksso that each blockcan be circulated.
