Canine 5-hydroxytryptamine 2 receptor materials are described, including polypeptides corresponding to SEQ ID NOs.:8 and 10 and polynucleotides expressing them corresponding to SEQ ID NOs.:7 and 9. Such materials are useful as reagents in drug screening assays to identify compounds having 5-HTreceptor-modulating activity.
