Abstract
A plasma display panel (PDP) is made of front panel () and rear panel (). The front panel includes display electrodes (), dielectric layer (), and protective layer () that are formed on glass substrate (). The rear panel includes address electrodes (), barrier ribs (), and phosphor layers () that are formed on rear glass substrate (). The front panel and the rear panel are faced with each other, and the peripheries thereof are sealed to form discharge space () therebetween. Primary dielectric layer () is provided to cover address electrodes (), and barrier ribs () are formed on primary dielectric layer (). Primary dielectric layer () is made of dielectric glass containing at least bismuth oxide and having a softening point exceeding 550° C.
