Abstract

A cooling device comprising a heat pipe () which is provided with an electrically-isolating part () between the evaporating () and condensing () parts thereof, such that the hot and cold areas are isolated electrically from one another. The evaporating part () of the heat pipe () is connected to a voltage regulator () or to a current rectifier belonging to a rotating electric machine. The invention is suitable for an alternator or an alternator-starter.
