Abstract
Diraromatic amine derivatives having the general formula: wherein n is from 0 to 5; m is from 0 to 4; each R substituent is independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C-Calkyl group or alkenyl group or two R substituents together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded are joined together to form an unsaturated, partially saturated or saturated C-Cring structure optionally containing one or more heteroatoms, each Rsubstituent is independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C-Calkyl group or alkenyl group and R, R, R, R, Rand Rare independently hydrogen or a straight or branched C-Calkyl group or alkenyl group optionally containing a functional group are provided. Also provided are lubricating oil compositions containing the diraromatic amine derivatives.
