Abstract
A compound represented by the following general formula (1).R—(X)-(A)-(Y)—(B)—(Z)—R  (1)(A, B, X, Y, and Z represent the following general formulae, and CH on a phenylene ring of each of X, Y, and Z may be replaced with an N atom. a, b, x, y, and z each independently represent an integer of 0 to 5, and a≧1, y≧1, and a+b≧2. (Rto Reach independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a linear or branched alkyl group.)). The compound can be suitably used as a compound for an organic EL device.
