Abstract

A catheter hub () including a first port () and a second port () fluidly communicating with the first port through a first conduit (). The first conduit () turns at an angle of greater than approximately 135 degrees between the first port () and the second port (). The hub () also includes a third port () fluidly communicating with the second port () through a second conduit () that similarly turns at an angle of greater than approximately 135 degrees between the third port () and the second port (). Further, the hub () includes a fourth port () fluidly communicating with the second port () and is generally co-axial therewith. A catheter assembly () that utilizes the catheter hub () is also disclosed.
