Abstract

A display apparatus includes a first substrate having an electron-emitting device, a second substrate having a light emitting member that emits light through irradiation with electrons emitted from the electron-emitting device and an electrode, and a plate-like supporting structure which is situated between the first substrate and the second substrate to support the two substrates and which has in its surface a plurality of grooves parallel to the first substrate or the second substrate. End portions of the grooves are spaced apart from an end portion of the supporting structure which does not face the first substrate or the second substrate by a distance longer than a thickness of the plate-like supporting structure.
