Abstract
A method for producing a positive electrode active material that realizes a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell having high discharge capacity and excellent high temperature preservation characteristic is provided. The method includes: an underwater kneading step of kneading lithium nickel composite oxide (LiNiMO, 0.9<x≦1.1, 0≦y≦0.7, 1.9≦z≦2.1, M including at least one selected from Al, Co, and Mn), lithium iron phosphorus composite oxide (LiFePO), a conductive carbon source, and water; after the underwater kneading step, a cleaning step of removing the water from the mixture after the underwater kneading step; and after the cleaning step, a baking step of baking the mixture in a reduced atmosphere at 200 to 800° C.
