Abstract

A device for discriminating valuable papers comprises a battery; a self-holding circuitconnected between batteryand drive controllerand capable of being switched between an active condition for supplying electric power to validation sensorand drive controllerfrom batteryand an inactive condition for interrupting the power supply; a trigger elementfor switching self-holding circuitin the inactive condition to the active condition; and a shutoff circuithaving a control terminal connected to drive controllerfor switching self-holding circuitin the active condition to the inactive condition.
