Abstract
The invention provides a dual battery electrical switchable systemfor a vehicle having an engine. The vehicle comprises a plurality of first loadsand a plurality of second loadsThe vehicle is switchable between an ON state in which the engine is running, an OFF state in which the engine is not running and a START state, in which at least one of the first loadsrequires power. The systemcomprises a first batteryarranged to provide power to the first loadsand a second batteryarranged to provide power to the second loadsA switchis provided between the first batteryand the second batteryand control meansis arranged to open the switchonly when the vehicle is in the OFF state. A connection systemis also provided having a plurality of output terminalsfor connection to the plurality of primary and secondary loadsand two input terminalsfor connection to the first and second batteriesrespectively.
