Abstract
An operating environment of an image forming apparatusis judged, and a program list which indicates programs which can be operated in this operating environment is generated by a server. The program list is then supplied to the image forming apparatus, and the serveris requested to transmit a program selected from the program list. The program is then supplied to the image forming apparatusfrom the server. That is, a program is selected from the program list which indicates programs which are judged to be operable in the operating environment of the image forming apparatus.
