Abstract
A collapsible highchair for an infant has a seat (), a back-rest () and a front leg-support () that are provided in one by an elongate, contoured moulding (). Rear leg-support is by tubular legs () which are pivoted to the one-piece moulding () under the seat () and which are held in rearward extension in the erect condition of the highchair by a pivoted tubular frame () which snaps into a socket () under the seat (). Release of the frame () from the socket () allows the legs () to fold onto the underside of the front leg-support () for collapse of the chair. A tube () attached at each end under the seat () extends up either side of the seat () to form arm-rests (), and a backwardly/forwardly slidable tray () is attached by releasable mounts () to the arm-rests ().
