Abstract
A composite doctor blade to be installed in a blade holder () containing a throat () has a rear part () made of a composite material which has a profiling () which protrudes beyond the plane () defined by the doctor blade in order to retain the doctor blade in the blade holder (). At a distance from the rear part (), part () of the profiling () protrudes from the plane () to one side only. Moreover, the part () is higher than its width in the cross-sectional plane of the doctor blade.
