Abstract
Monomeric metal complexes having improved luminescence properties are provided. In one embodiment, a monomeric metal complex is represented by the formula [PN]M(L). PN is an amidophosphine ligand, and M may be any metal capable of exhibiting luminescent properties, for example, a dmetal. L may be a tertiary phosphine. Alternatively, a second PN ligand or DPPE may take the place of both L ligands.
