Abstract
A negative electrodefor nonaqueous secondary batteries characterized by having an active material layerand a metallic lithium layerboth between a pair of current collecting surface layers. The negative electrodehas two negative electrode precursorseach composed of the current collecting surface layerand the active material layeron one side of the surface layer. The two negative electrode precursorsare united with their active material layersfacing each other and with the metallic lithium layersandwiched therebetween.
