Abstract
A lens barrel and an image pickup apparatus include a flow path () that is provided at a position (A) where a first fixed lens frame () faces a movable lens frame () and a position (B) where the movable lens frame () faced the first fixed lens frame () as that air flow resistance can be generated when the air is released which is present between the first and second lens frames if these lens frames get close to each other. The flow path () is provided so that the air present between a fixed lens () and a movable lens () may also be passed through the flow paths when the first fixed lens frame () and the movable lens frame () get close to each other.
