Abstract
This structure () comprises first and second filtering elements (A,B) extending essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis (X-X') of the structure () between an admission region () of the gases into the structure () and an evacuation region () of the gases from the structure, and comprises a seal () for joining these elements (A,B). The seal () comprises at least one downstream pat () which has a thermal mass per unit length greater than the thermal mass per unit length of an upstream part () of the seal (). The invention is for use in particulate filters for the exhaust gases of a motor vehicle diesel engine.
