Abstract
An image forming apparatus is supplied which is able to eliminate redundant item in checking and adjusting print quality before executing print process and only perform item check being really necessary so as to reduce waiting time of user. In the image forming apparatus, a non-operation time calculating sectionsets an end of last print process as a start point and calculates a non-operation time; a print controlling sectioncontrols an adjustment of print quality on the basis of an acquirement of the print quality corresponding to quality item previously set and an acquirement result of the print quality, according to a length of the non-operation time.
