Abstract

The method for monitoring the stability of the carrier frequency (ω) of identical transmitted signals (s(t)) of several transmitters Sof a single-frequency network is based upon a calculation of a carrier-frequency displacement Δωof a carrier frequency ωof a transmitter Srelative to a carrier frequency ωof a reference transmitter S. For this purpose, the phase-displacement difference (ΔΔΘ(t−t)) caused by the carrier-frequency displacement Δωbetween a phase displacement ΔΘ(t) at a first observation time tand a phase displacement ΔΘ(t) at a second observation time tof a received signal (e(t)) of the transmitter Sassociated with the respective transmitted signal (s(t)) is determined relative to a received signal e(t) of the reference transmitter Sassociated with the reference transmitted signal s(t).
