Abstract
The invention provides a semiconductor device of low power consumption and low cost. A semiconductor deviceis basically constituted of a semiconductor substrateand an external signal processing substrate. The semiconductor substrateis provided with a memory unit, a data driver, an element array, a scanning circuitand a clock generator. When successively outputting an identical data signal to the element arrayover a plurality of times, the data signal retained in the memory unitis utilized.
