Abstract
On the one hand, this invention relates to a method for manufacturing a toothed rack from an elastic material, the toothed rack being provided with teeth, the said toothed rack, in pre-stressed condition, being wrapped up in one or several layers of fiber reinforced synthetic cloth around at least part of the height of its lateral faces which are almost at right angles to the surface in which the teeth are situated and, on the other hand, a toothed rack manufactured according to this method. Furthermore, this invention relates to a rapier rod profile for a rapier weaving machine provided with a toothed rack according to the invention.
