Abstract

A method of reading the outline of the bezel of a rim of an eyeglass frame, includes contacting the bottom of the bezel and a feeler finger () belonging to a feeler () and pointing along a feeler axis (C) or with a feeler blade belonging to a feeler and extending in a feeler plane, and moving the feeler along the bezel In order to feel the bottom of the bezel by turning about an axis of rotation. The invention, the feeler blade or finger, at least when located in a temple zone of the rim of the frame, points obliquely towards the rim of the frame and towards its rear side that is to be placed facing the eyes of a wearer, such that its feeler axis or its feeler plane forms a non-zero feeler angle (A) with a plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the feeler.
