Abstract
An image display apparatus has light beam emitting units (L,R) which emit light beams based on image information and a set operating frequency, and MEMS mirrors (L,R) which deflect the emitted light beams by deflection operations based on the operating frequency, in correspondence with the right and left eyes. Resonance frequency detection units (L,R) respectively detect the resonance frequencies of the MEMS mirrors (L,R). A control unit () sets the operating frequency of the MEMS mirrors (L,R) based on the detected resonance frequencies.
