A developing bladeis insert molded by forming a rib portionwhich projects from an end portion in the longitudinal direction of a blade bodyin the transverse direction of the blade body, opposite to the contact surfaceside of the blade body, on the blade bodyin contact with the developing roll of the developing bladeand forming the gateG of a metal moldin which a metal plateas an insert member has been installed only in a cavitycorresponding to the above rib portion. Therefore, a developing bladewithout burrs and recesses on its contact surface with the developing roll or without welds can be easily manufactured.
