Abstract

A support designed for observing between intersecting polarizers an object located in its vicinity in a medium () of index nwith incident convergent incoherent illumination under an angle θat a wavelength λ. The support includes a substrate () with complex refractive index nand a layer () of refractive index nand thickness e. The value of the thickness eof the layer () is at ±2% such that d√/delnIóI=0 with Ó=Ó+Ó(1+π)e(−)+Óπe (−4)/1+r+re()(1+r(−2). Observation devices incorporating such a support are also disclosed.
