Abstract
An absorbent articlecomprises a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheetand a liquid retentive absorbent coreinterposed between the topsheetand the backsheet, a sheet-like member, which is provided at a side edge portionthereof with an elastic member, and which is fixed to the backsheetside at an edge portiontoexcluding the side edge portionwhere the elastic memberis disposed, the absorbent articlebeing deformed such that a concavity is formed on the topsheetside, the absorbent articlebeing put on a wearer while maintaining such a deformed configuration by the sheet-like member
