Abstract

The propagation time () of signals between a terminal () and a base station () is calculated from the round-trip time () of signals between the terminal () and the base station () and the turn-around time () from the reception by terminal () of a signal from base station () until the transmission of the signal to the base station (). The propagation time () of signals between the terminal () and another base station () is similarly calculated. The difference between the propagation times (and) and the arrival time difference () that is calculated in the terminal () are then compared to calculate the transmission time difference () between the base stations (and).
