Abstract
A technique for arranging a receiver device () includes equally spacing adjacent rake receivers (-) within an observation window (OW). A disclosed technique for updating an observation window includes changing the position of one of the rake fingers () while maintaining a position of other ones of the rake fingers. The disclosed technique for arranging rake fingers in a receiver device () does not depend on searching and tracking channel conditions and reduces computational complexity without sacrificing receiver performance.
