Abstract

A sensing arrangement () for sensing objects at a plurality of sensing sites () is described herein. In one embodiment the arrangement comprises: an imaging device () having an array of light-detecting elements; a light guide arrangement () extending from the sensing sites () to the imaging device (); a mount () for maintaining the light guide arrangement () and the imaging device () in a fixed spatial relation so that each sensing site () illuminates a zone () of different elements on the array; and a processor (), in communication with the imaging device (), for analyzing image data captured by each zone. A method of sensing an object is also described herein.
