Abstract

In this crimping device, a press slide () is provided with a crimp-height adjuster () for the insulation crimper (). The crimp-height adjuster () arranged on the press slide () above an upper tool () consists essentially of a rotationally hindered eccentric disk (), a lever (), and a magnet () with plunger (). The eccentric disk () is mounted rotatably on an axle (). During production of crimp connections, the plunger () is at rest outside an elongated hole () of the lever (). The press slide () with the upper tool () can be moved up and down without hindrance. With the plunger () inserted into the elongated hole () and with an upward motion of the press slide (), after overcoming the friction of a disk-spring assembly the eccentric disk () executes rotational motion in clockwise direction. The lever () that is rigidly connected to the axle () turns the eccentric disk () about the axle (). The eccentric disk () defines the crimp height for the insulation crimper ().
