Abstract
A device unitis constituted by including a lead frameon which a light-emitting mold portionand a light-receiving mold portionare mounted. Moreover, an exterior casing for housing the device unitis constituted of two parts dividable into an upper casingand a lower casing. Thus, by holding the device unitby the upper casingand the lower casing, external connection terminalsconstructed of one end portion of the lead framecan be fixed to the exterior casing and positioned in a connector portion. Therefore, by reducing the parts count to three and allowing the device unitto be fixed to the exterior casing by a fixed fitting mechanism of the upper casingand the lower casingwithout performing welding, soldering, thermal caulking or the like, the assembling becomes easy.
