Abstract
An actuator for an active chassis of a motor vehicle is proposed which includes a body spring and a vibration damper, and which incorporates a hydraulic or pneumatic positioning cylinder () and a compensation spring (). The actuator () is so designed and positioned that the static body mass () is borne by the compensation spring ().
