Abstract
A support () for the joint hinge of a wiper blade () at a hook-shaped end () of a bar () in a windshield wiper. Owing to an open hub on part of its periphery (), the support can be slipped on a bearing shank of the wiper blade () and, so mounted, be maintained by the hook-shaped end () above hub surfaces () and ratchet elements (). The two side walls () which are connected by the hub () and a plurality of crossbars () extend in the longitudinal direction (), on both sides, towards the hub () and the inside widths () between the side walls () are different at their opposite ends.
