Abstract
A control device for a stepping motor is provided that can reduce torque generated by a motor and control the expansion of a speed deviation when the rotational speed of a rotor exceeds a speed command. The control device includes first judging means () for judging whether a positional deviation of a rotor is within a predetermined range, second judging means () for judging whether a sign of the positional deviation and a sign of a speed deviation coincide with each other, and phase setting means (to) for setting a winding current command phase.
