Using a compound of the following formula (1) makes it possible to provide an optical device having a reduced transmission loss. wherein Ris an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and having at least one fluorine atom, and Ris an alkylene group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms.
