Abstract
A video system including a circuit for automatically correcting reversed polarity in a polarity sensitive system. The system includes a video camera, a camera controller for controlling the video camera, a transmission medium for communicating a polarity sensitive signal between the video camera and the camera controller, and a polarity correction circuit configured to detect an incorrect polarity in the polarity sensitive signal. The polarity correction circuit includes a polarity controller to provide an inversion signal in response to incorrect polarity, and an inversion circuit which inverts the incorrect polarity in response to the inversion signal. In another aspect of the invention, the video system is configured to automatically correct the reversal of transmit and receive wires.
